Evie’s Bedroom (Old Design)

Hey, I’m writing this blog post to give you an insight into how we created my daughters newly styled bedroom. If you’ve read her previous bedroom blog then you’l know she’s 8 years old and into all things girly, pink, sparkly, unicorns, makeup, glam, toys etc.

Here is a picture of her newly styled bedroom and we all absolutely love it, she is so grateful and knows how lucky she is 🙂

BED

We love all of the beautiful beds that they do, but we had a particular view in our mind of how we wanted it, so after speaking with @theluxurybedcompany they said they loved our idea and would love to make us the bed we’d designed in our heads and call it after our home. The bed is called ‘The Montreux Bed’.

We were slightly nervous at first thinking to ourselves we hope its going to turn out how we’re imagining it. It came and WOW! We are absolutely thrilled with it, its so luxurious with the silver studding keeping the girly feel to it. It’s a soft velvet charcoal fabric and when the light shines through her window it can make the fabric look lighter its just simply beautiful.  We chose a higher headboard as that is our preference and style and we simply just love the look of a higher headboard, we also love how the footboard matches the headboard & we decided to have no feet on the bed as we feel it gives a nicer finishing look. The bed colour we chose knowing we would have pink accessories on it & it would make a lovely contrast against the bed.

We are all over the moon with the new Montreux bed but especially Evie ❤

WALLPAPER

If you read the last blog for this bedroom you’ll see we previously had a wallpaper in here from @wallpapersales it was the pink sparkle which we absolutely loved, but as we were giving the bedroom a new look we changed this to the pink industrial wallpaper which again we absolutely love, it gives such a current modern look and it has the most beautiful glitter sparkle in it so it’s very girly. I love the look that industrial textured wallpaper gives, it gives a rustic look & the added sparkle detail in this paper close up is stunning.

WARDROBES

If you’ve been following me on Instagram for a while you’ll of seen Evie’s previous wardrobes and you’ll know how much they annoyed me. They were see-through so everything stored in the wardrobes you could see.

@nankivellsfittedfurniture came to the rescue and supplied and fit the most beautiful wardrobe doors for us. The smoked mirrored doors look stunning and the quality of them is 100%, they are the soft close doors so there’s no banging shut.

Cleaning them is so easy and I’m unsure whether Evie is just extremely tidy or she secretly cleans but I always expect to be cleaning them often due to fingerprints on the mirrors, but they always look so clean.

The storage space in these is fab, all Evie’s toys are stored away neatly in the bottom of the wardrobes her clothes on the rails and then there is storage at the top, she will never be able to moan that she’s not got enough space.

LIGHTING

The ceiling light is the 9 light rawley light from @cotterellandco <<<< click here to view

I’d had my eye on this particular light for a while I think it’s so unique and I just knew it would fit in perfectly within Evie’s bedroom interior.

It’s such a beautiful eye-catching light, whenever anyone visits they instantly comment on how beautiful the light is I am so pleased with it.

ACCESSORIES

The throw is @juliancharlesuk <<< click link to view – this throw is beautiful luxury quality and will make any bed look beautiful 🙂

The cushions are from @glossyinteriors <<< click link to view – these cushions are so beautiful, the quality is so thick & they are very well made, the close up detailing in the cushions are simply stunning.

The bolster is from @sewglamltd <<< click link to view – this bolster is so lovely, Evie is over the moon with it and the sparkly buttons at each end she especially loved. The material close up is gorgeous.

The knitted throw hanging over the edge of the bed is from @chun_kees <<< click link to view – I have a few of these beautiful blankets and they really present any space beautifully.

The bedside tables are from @dunelmuk <<< click link to view – these are so perfect for this room and all we have done is change the knobs to sparkly ones to give them that extra girly feel.

The bedside lamps are from @iconic_lights  I love the brushed aluminium look & I love the large white shades they make such a lovely statement.

The white framed mirrors are from @therange.

DRESSING AREA

This area is loved by Evie so much, she’s always sitting in her chair doing her hair & singing into the mirror, she also does her homework here too we just slide over the mirror to give her the extra work space.

The chair is from @niches.co.uk <<< click link to view. This is just wow wow wow wow!! Evie’s face when she saw this chair was priceless, its so cute & stylish we love it & it is very well made.

The TV is a white samsung 32″ smart TV & Evie’s favourite thing to watch is Netflix 🙂

Overall we are super happy with how this room has turned out especially Evie, she’s so grateful & always says how lucky she is and an added bonus is that she really looks after it & always makes sure its tidy.
