How I created the look in my daughters bedroom –
She is 8 years old, she wanted something a little more grown up but still involving the things she loves like unicorns/sparkly things etc.
Here’s a picture of her room, I would have loved this when I was a child. she calls it ‘her dream’ ❤
Wallpaper
Let’s start with the wallpaper, originally we had the room all painted in the light pink colour (pretty pink – dulux) but then Evie wanted something sparkly which is what led us to this beautiful choice of wallpaper. It is from @wallpapersales (click on the link for this wallpaper) I really love the sparkle in this wallpaper its not just your average glitter wall it’s really different ❤
Bed
The bed is from @arista.living (click link to view)
Arista living is great! You can create your own bed, size, colour, style, storage etc. I went for a double bed in this style because it was mine & Evie’s favourite, we opted for four draw storage as lots of storage is a bonus for girls that love toys and ‘stuff’ in general, she loves keeping things organised in her draws.
an extra bonus is that she actually now loves making her bed on a morning 🙂 she loves it looking neat and tidy.
We dressed the bed with crushed velvet bedding from b&m bargains (£24.99)
The large pink cushions are from Matalan & the sparkly sequin silver cushions I got off Ebay.
The beautiful chunky knit blanket is from @chun_kees (click link to view) and the colour is candyfloss pink.
Accessories
Bedside tables are the Lynton bedsides from @dunelmuk (click link to view) these work perfectly and look fantastic. I made a slight tweak (photos to follow) I changed the handles on these to crystal ones just for an extra girlie look.
Lamps are from @iconic_lights (click link to view) these are so grande and make a lovely statement, the white shade gives a clean, fresh and airy look & feel. When its dark Evie loves the cosy feel having the lamps on, she loves how they make her wallpaper shimmer 🙂
The feather light shade is from B&Q, Lots of people are wow’d by this shade, It is very pretty & girlie, It is £30 instore.
The personalised unicorn dreamcatcher! I mean how cute is this though (love love love) this is from @happilyhandmade1 (click link to view) This addition in Evie’s room is so adorable – I love quirky & simple accessories! ❤
The unicorn quote picture frames I picked up at b&m bargains, they were a bargain at £9.99. They were definitely a must have when I saw them as not only does Evie love unicorns the background is a pink ombre glitter that matches her wallpaper perfectly ❤
Overall
We love this girlie room, its bright and pretty 🙂
The other side of the room if anyone was wondering has a dressing table / mirror & TV, I just need to style this how I want it and pictures will follow.
